Dear friends, Two years into COVID 19, nearly all aspects of our lives have transformed. The way of doing business, travelling, meeting people, visiting museums or even our collective sense of time – to name a few – is not the same anymore as it used to be. Despite all these unprecedented challenges, the pandemic has been a drive to create new ideas and businesses. Mai unterzeichnete die Regierungschefin Carrie Lam in Übereinstimmung mit Artikel 48(3) des Grundgesetzes die vom Legislativrat (LegCo) verabschiedete Improving Electoral System (Consolidated Amendments) Ordinance 2021. The virtual event “Direct Dialogue with Mrs Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of the HKSAR” held on February 5, 2021 was a case in point. Moreover, this year we welcomed the Chinese New Year in a different way than we used to. Am 30. März erklärte die Regierungschefin Carrie Lam, dass sie und das Regierungsteam der SAR Hongkong den geänderten Anhang I zum Basic Law über das Verfahren zur Wahl des Chefs der Exekutive der SAR Hongkong und Anhang II zum Basic Law über das Verfahren zur Bildung des Legislativrats der SAR Hongkong und dessen Abstimmungsverfahren, die vom Ständigen Ausschuss des Nationalen Volkskongresses genehmigt wurden, nachdrücklich unterstützen.
