Record-breaking courtroom drama ‘A Guilty Conscience’ screened at Zurich Film Festival

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Berlin (HKETO Berlin) presented four Hong Kong productions to the Swiss audience at the 19th Zurich Film Festival (ZFF), taking place from September 28 to October 8 (Zurich time).

Hong Kong is not to be missed at the second largest festival in the German-speaking world as the ZFF presented some of the most beautiful discoveries as well as the most anticipated films of the year this autumn.

The Hong Kong Window, a dedicated programme of four Hong Kong films, was opened with the screening of A Guilty Conscience, an exciting courtroom drama from Hong Kong. The film tells the thrilling story of a mother’s struggle for justice for her deceased child. Written and directed by Jack Ng, A Guilty Conscience has reached a record-breaking milestone: it is now the highest-grossing Hong Kong film ever. It achieved this feat in less than 30 days of its release, the fastest movie to ever do so.
