Hong Kong Talent Admission Schemes

Attracting global talents

Hong Kong is not only a place with outstanding study opportunities but also an excellent environment for research, innovation and invention. Amongst the various talent admission schemes, the HKSAR Government launched the Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS) in June 2006 to attract global talents to settle in Hong Kong, which has helped the city to upkeep its competitiveness internationally. Given the increasing number of applicants under the QMAS, the Government increased the annual quota from 1 000 to 2 000, with a view to further enlarging Hong Kong’s talent pool and strengthening its role as Asia’s World City. With Hong Kong’s high quality of living, a year-round calendar of cultural, arts and sports events as well as stunning nature just around the corner, it offers the ideal conditions for those looking to work and live in a multicultural place in Asia.

Further details on the QMAS can be found here.
