Under the direction of its former Music Director Jaap van Zweden (right), Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra delivered a mesmerizing performance featuring the renowned Austrian classical pianist Rudolf Buchbinder (left).



HKETO Berlin supported the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil)’s tour in Europe, showcasing one of Asia’s premier classical music performances at the Grafenegg Festival in Austria. Under the direction of Jaap van Zweden, HK Phil’s former Music Director, the orchestra delivered an exceptional concert in collaboration with Austrian classical pianist Rudolf Buchbinder. The performance provided Austrian audiences with a glimpse into Hong Kong’s vibrant and dynamic cultural scene.



CY Leo’s Performance at World Harmonica Festival

CY Leo, a two-time solo harmonica-virtuoso world champion, staged several captivating duo performances, including a captivating duo performance with Hong Kong pianist Joyce Cheung and in the grand finale alongside German harmonica virtuoso Konstantin Reinfeld and Spanish harmonica virtuose Antonio Serrano. He also served as a jury member and conducted a workshop sharing his music journey during the festival.



Musicus Society’s Exchange Tour in Salzburg

Students from the Musicus Ensemble Training programme staged a joint performance with Camerate Salzburg on 5 July 2025 during a cultural exchange tour in Salzburg, Austria.



Nine young musicians of Musicus Society participated in a cultural exchange tour in Salzburg, Austria from 1 to 6 July 2025, with a series of classes coached by the string leaders from world-renowned chamber orchestra Camerata Salzburg. The young musicians turned their efforts into a mesmerizing final ensemble performance in collaboration with the members of Camerata Salzburg.



Pianist Rachel Cheung at International Chopin Festival

Hong Kong pianist Rachel Cheung performed at the 41st International Chopin Festival in Gaming, Austria.



Every year, the International Chopin Festival held in Gaming, Austria brought together acclaimed soloists and ensembles from around the world. Hong Kong pianist Rachel Cheung participated in the 41st International Chopin Festival which took place from 14 to 17 August 2025, and showcased her technical brilliance with expressive interpretations of the work of Frédéric Chopin and Robert Schumann.



Hong Kong Clarinet Clarisma Ensemble in Lausanne

Hong Kong Clarinet Clarisma Ensemble performed with at Swiss musicians at a concert held on 9 October 2025.



HKETO Berlin supported the performances and exchange tour of the Hong Kong Clarinet Clarisma Ensemble at the International Rising Musician Exchange Programme, held at Haute École de Musique in Lausanne, Switzerland from 7 to 10 October 2025. The recitals showcased the musicians’ artistic pieces which combined Western classical music with contemporary Chinese musical elements in three public performances and two workshops.



Designblok International Design Festival in Prague

Hong Kong artisans participated at the Designblok International Design Festival held in Prague from 8 to 12 October 2025. HKETO Berlin and Hong Kong Trade and Development Council joined a discussion session held on 10 October, where artisan group Crafts on Peel presented its works, which revive and incorporate traditional craftsmanship in its innovative contemporary design.



Frankfurt Book Fair

HKETO Berlin supported the participation of the Hong Kong Printers Association and the Hong Kong Publishing Federation at Frankfurt Book Fair held from 15 to 19 October 2025. The Hong Kong Pavilion at the fair offered both physical and virtual experiences, guiding visitors through Hong Kong’s achievements in publishing and creative arts via an extensive collection of publications and printed works.

Highlights of the 26th Berlin CityCup Dragon Boat Races held on 5 to 6 July 2025



The 26th Berlin CityCup Dragon Boat Races, held on 5 to 6 July 2025, drew enthusiastic participation with more than 1 000 racers. As one of the event’s highlights, 60 teams took part in the Hong Kong Cup on 5 July sponsored by HKETO Berlin.



World Dragon Boat Racing Championship

Hong Kong athletes at the 17th World Dragon Boat Racing Championships



The 17th World Dragon Boat Racing Championships was held in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany from 14 to 20 July 2025, brought together more than 4 000 athletes from 33 countries and regions. HKETO Berlin sponsored the World Championships and at its hall of fame event promoted Hong Kong’s role as a hub for international major sports events.
