Hong Kong offers opportunities for companies

On 23 September, the HKETO Berlin collaborated with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to organise a business seminar in Ljubljana. The event aimed to introduce business opportunities in Hong Kong and beyond for Slovenian companies. Mr Christopher Hui, the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, was the main guest speaker. He highlighted Hong Kong’s prominent role and advantages as an ideal platform for entering the Asian and Chinese Mainland markets. With its world-renowned and robust regulatory regime, Hong Kong’s financial markets provide a stable and predictable environment aligned with international practices, offering significant benefits for investors.

Dr Kim J. Zietlow, Head of Investment Promotion of HKETO Berlin, moderated a panel titled “The Longevity Economy: Building for a 100-Year Life” on 4 November 2025.



HKETO Berlin facilitated the participation of delegations from Germany, Hungary, and Czechia at the Hong Kong FinTech Week and StartmeupHK Festival, which took place in Hong Kong from 3 to 7 November 2025. This event marked its 10th anniversary and attracted an impressive crowd of 45 000 participants from over 120 countries. More than 30 international delegations participated in a dynamic week of activities that began with a two-day main conference. Dr Kim J. Zietlow, Head of Investment Promotion of HKETO Berlin, moderated a panel titled “The Longevity Economy: Building for a 100-Year Life” on 4 November.

HKETO Berlin, in collaboration with HKETO Brussels, hosted an exclusive dinner event during the Web Summit on 12 November 2025 in Lisbon, Portugal. More than 30 friends of Hong Kong including companies from Germany and Poland joined the event.
