Chinese New Year Receptions
In February and March, Berlin HKETO continued the tradition of hosting eight Chinese New Year receptions in major cities of the eight countries covered by Berlin HKETO, including Berlin, Ljubljana, Zurich, Budapest, Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava and Vienna. The receptions brought together around 1 200 guests in total. Hong Kong young talents, freestyle football artists Lyson Sze and Tsz Hei Ng and a capella group SENZA, were invited to perform at the receptions, showcasing Hong Kong’s diverse culture and music scene.
Economic and Trade Express Business Events
HKETO Berlin hosted and participated in a series of events under the Economic and Trade Express (ETE), an initiative to support enterprises in expanding globally while assisting overseas companies in establishing businesses in Hong Kong.

The Director of HKETO Berlin, Indiana Wong, spoke at a panel discussion at the Frankfurt Digital Finance conference held in Frankfurt, Germany. He introduced that the Hong Kong financial market delivered a strong performance in 2025. The initial public offering market raised over EUR 30.9 billion, placing Hong Kong at the top of fund-raising rankings and reflecting investors’ confidence in Hong Kong. InvestHK and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) Frankfurt Office also participated in the European Fintech Day held on 12 February, promoting the vibrant fintech ecosystem in Hong Kong.
Warsaw
Business seminar hosted with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Warsaw, Poland, on 11 March.
HKETO Berlin, InvestHK and the HKTDC Frankfurt co-organised a spring reception in Warsaw, Poland, on 11 March. Business seminars were also held together with Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Warsaw and Poznan to introduce the latest developments in Hong Kong and the one-stop services provided to support enterprises to expand overseas.
Berlin
HKETO Berlin, InvestHK and HKTDC Frankfurt showcased Hong Kong’s dynamic fintech sector at the FIBE Festival in Berlin, Germany, on 15 and 16 April.
The Director of HKETO Berlin, Indiana Wong, together with InvestHK and HKTDC Frankfurt, joined as speakers on 16 April at a thematic session. With a diverse and innovative ecosystem, Hong Kong has attracted entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals from around the world, hosting over 1 200 fintech companies. Hong Kong is an ideal gateway for European fintech businesses to expand to Asia, underpinned by the free flow of capital, a robust regulatory framework, and also Hong Kong’s unique advantage of being connected with the world and the Chinese Mainland market.

HKETO Berlin promoted Hong Kong’s unique advantages and strategic roles at the business seminar “Hong Kong’s strategic role amidst geopolitical tensions” on 18 June in Munich, Germany. The Director of HKETO Berlin, Indiana Wong, highlighted that current geopolitical tensions and escalations are prompting investors and entrepreneurs to reassess their global strategies, and that Hong Kong has proven itself to be a safe, stable and secure business and investment hub with abundant opportunities for German businesses.

HKETO Berlin also supported business delegations from Hong Kong to strengthen business ties and foster closer collaboration between the business and industrial communities of Europe and Hong Kong.

HKETO Berlin supported a delegation visit by the Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council to Berlin, Germany, in June.
HKETO Berlin supported a delegation visit by the Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council to Munich and Berlin, Germany, from 8 to 12 June. HKETO Berlin arranged a market briefing, meetings with local enterprises and investment agencies, and visits to companies for the delegation to gain on-the-ground insights into Germany's investment environment and innovation ecosystem.
Hong Kong Productivity Council
HKETO Berlin supported a delegation visit by the Hong Kong Productivity Council to Bratislava, Slovakia, in June.
Hong Kong Productivity Council visited Bratislava, Slovakia from 16 to 17 June to promote investment and cooperation opportunities. During the visit, HKETO Berlin and the delegation met with senior representatives of investment agency and the National Innovation and Technology Centre to promote Hong Kong’s strengths in supply chain management and intellectual property. The delegation also visited some production plants to understand the needs of local operators.
Hong Kong Maritime and Port Development Board
InvestHK supported a delegation visit by the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Development Board to Geneva, Switzerland.
A delegation from the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Development Board visited Geneva, Switzerland in April. The delegation attended the Geneva Dry conference and held bilateral meetings with leading companies, promoting Hong Kong as a premier international maritime and financial centre, as well as new financial incentives for maritime and commodity trading companies.

Hong Kong’s innovations were shining at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions held in Geneva, Switzerland, in March. Government departments, enterprises and education institutes from Hong Kong showcased their latest inventions at the event and won nearly 300 prizes this year.
