HKETO Newsletter December 2025
Dear friends,
As we approach the end of the year, it is the best time to review the past and look forward to the future.
Over the past few months, Hong Kong continued to achieve significant milestones, maintaining the position as one of the world’s top three global financial centres, alongside New York and London. The World Intellectual Property Organization’s Global Innovation Index recognised the Hong Kong-Shenzhen-Guangzhou region as the world’s most innovative cluster, showcasing the success of strategic collaboration with our neighbouring cities. Hong Kong’s commitment to innovation and technology (I&T) has been transformative, turning I&T into a cornerstone of economic growth.
Hong Kong’s focus on emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, life and health technology, and new industrialisation sectors like aircraft recycling and new energy has created vast opportunities for businesses and academic institutions alike. By maintaining a stable and transparent business environment, embracing innovation, and strengthening partnerships, Hong Kong is poised to thrive and continues to serve as a launchpad for world-class ideas, fostering their development and commercialisation across Asia and beyond.
Looking ahead, together with our investment promotion agency, Invest Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, we will provide more platforms to connect European and Hong Kong business sectors, promoting two-way enterprise flows through various channels. We eagerly anticipate welcoming more delegations and enterprises to leverage Hong Kong’s unique advantages and explore overseas markets.
Stay connected with us on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook for latest updates and exciting developments on Hong Kong. Enjoy reading!
